Hola!  I’m Paula —
the artist behind
Mayshara

I’m a visual artist from Argentina, currently based in Byron Bay, where the ocean, quiet mornings, and the rhythm of nature keep shaping the way I create.

Behind the art

Art has been present in my life since childhood. When I was 9, I begged my family to send me to art classes, and that became the seed of everything I do today.

After finishing school, I studied Architecture for a year before realising its rigid structure didn’t allow me to breathe creatively. So I shifted into Graphic Design — a decision that opened the door to a world where ideas, emotion and imagery coexist.

At 19, I started travelling the world. Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Australia… movement shaped me as much as stillness.

Every journey taught me how to observe, how to feel, how to understand people and places beyond the surface.

Those experiences now live inside my art.

My work lives between the intuitive, the surreal and the emotional.

I paint the way I feel: through colour, through energy, and through whatever mood rises that day.
I rarely sketch — I begin on a blank canvas and let instinct guide the shapes, the symbols, the palette. Each piece becomes a mirror of something internal: a moment, a memory, a fragment of the self.

Colours are my emotional landscape.
Some days they come soft and muted; other days they arrive bold, loud or mystical.
I follow them like threads that reveal what needs to be expressed.

My purpose

I want my work to help people reconnect —
with themselves, with nature, and with the subtle mysteries we often ignore.
I believe that we are not separate from the Earth; we are extensions of it.
Through my practice, I hope to honour that connection and share it with individuals and small businesses who value beauty, intention and consciousness.

What I hope my art does for you

I hope it evokes something inside you.
A feeling, a question, a memory, a tiny spark.
Because art, for me, is not decoration —
it’s a form of remembering.
